Château de Châtagneréaz 2007
White wine | Mont-sur-Rolle Grand Cru, La Côte AOC
A spectacular performance
2007 was a year full of contrasts, right up to the sun-drenched harvest. Ultimately, the grapes were fortunate enough to ripen slowly, developing complexity and balance. After nearly twenty years, this great white wine has reached heights that are quite simply exceptional! Intense and deep, it captivates with its notes of honey, peaches in syrup, curry, saffron and cumin. Round and creamy, it is a marvel of harmony, blending minerality, subtle bitterness and salinity, with a long, mouth-watering finish. To be savoured with the utmost attention!

The Châtagneréaz vineyard is made of heavy, clayey soils which produce a very structured white wine, with ample and delicious fruitiness, supported by a pleasant hint of acidity and a full and elegant red wine.

Château de Châtagneréaz
The rich history of this exemplary estate began long ago, before the year 1000, in the chestnut tree forests of La Côte. The Chasselas grape, planted as the vast majority grape variety on this terroir, birthed a 1er Grand Cru, the highest classification of Vaud wines. Today, head winemaker Tony Heubi passionately continues the tradition of excellence at Château de Châtagneréaz.
