95 100James SucklingBlackberries, dark cherries and blueberries with some earthy notes. Spice and cigar-box, too. Full-bodied with a savory texture and firm tannins. Clove and crushed-stone undertones. Clean, flavorful finish with length. Try after 2024.

94 100Robert Parker's Wine AdvocateDeep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 Dassault sings of stewed plums, boysenberries and Black Forest cake, followed by hints of lilacs, star anise, fragrant earth and crushed rocks. The medium to full-bodied palate has a rock-solid frame of grainy tannins and a lively backbone cutting through the densely packed, black fruit layers, finishing with a floral lift. 92 100The Wine EnthusiastThis is a classic, well-structured wine. Firm tannins currently mask ripe black-currant fruit and acidity that will shortly offer succulent richness. The wine will age well. Drink from 2026. Roger Voss
