97 100Yves Beck80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. 2027-2047.

96 100DecanterStreamlined and sleek, silky smooth but also gorgeously textured, clean and clear with grip and interest. Less fleshy and chewy than some, more charming and elegant with tannins that have a weight in the mouth. There is clear power and concentration underneath the juicy acidity with a straight backbone and direct energy from start to finish. Appealing layers of salinity, blackcurrant fruit, creamy vanilla, cool cola touches and crushed stones on the finish. Feels well made and sophisticated. 3.74pH. A yield of 34hl/ha. Earliest harvest ever starting on 6 September for Merlot and 20 and 21 September for Cabernet Sauvignon. Georgina Hindle. Drinking window: 2025 - 2045.

95 100Wine EnthusiastThis is an impressive Merlot-dominated wine. Its richness marked by dark coffee aroma and bold tannins are indications of a seriously ageworthy wine. It finishes with succulent black fruits and a firm texture. Drink from 2028. Roger Voss

94 100Robert Parker's Wine AdvocateThe 2022 Clinet opens in the glass with aromas of ripe cherries and berries framed by a lavish application of creamy new oak. Full-bodied, layered and concentrated, it's dense and muscular, with rich structuring tannins, impressively lively acids and a vanillin-laden finish. While it remains nicely balanced, it will require a bit of patience for its élevage to integrate. 94+/100. Drinking window: 2030 - 2045. William Kelley.

A beautiful dark red with almost black highlights.
Aromas of cherries and black berries mingled with spicy notes and a subtle hint of new oak.
Medium to full-bodied, ample and complex, this wine is impressively lively, with a rich fruity core framed by powdery tannins resulting from judicious extraction. A very fine achievement with balance as its leitmotif.
Cold meats, meat, game or vegetable terrines, Bolognese pasta, grilled chicken, oven-roasted meats, grills, bistecca alla fiorentina, T-bone steak, lamb couscous, game.
Serving temperature: 16 - 18°C
The 11 ha vineyard is located to the west of Pomerol, the vines are planted on a terroir of gravel on deep clay, on a subsoil with the presence of iron dross.
In the cellar, wood is dominant with truncated conical vats for plot vinification, and barrels for aging.

Château Clinet
Located in the heart of Pomerol, Château Clinet covers 11 hectares on the plateau. Recorded as early as 1595, this historic terroir is now led by the Laborde family, who have modernised both vineyard and facilities, establishing the estate as a Right Bank benchmark.
Predominantly planted with Merlot on gravel and clay soils, the vines produce deep and harmonious wines. Precise and silky, they are distinguished by fine tannins, freshness and remarkable ageing potential.
