Dark purple color with violet hue and black core. A wonderful and noble wine with a wonderful nose. Refined aroma reminiscent of blackcurrants and blackberries, sweet elderberries, very elegant toasting aroma, discreet hints of liquorice but also beetroots and black truffles, discreet spiciness in the background. On the palate polished tannins, silky texture, great elegance and sophistication, multi-layered flavor with ripe fruits and mild spices, excellent length. 98/100

Extremely floral and beautiful with blackberry and blackcurrant aromas that follow through to a full body with a solid core of fruit and loads of dark fruit, sweet tobacco, bark and earth. Chewy, fine tannins. Perhaps the best of the trilogy years. 96-97/100

Extremely floral and beautiful with blackberry and blackcurrant aromas that follow through to a full body with a solid core of fruit and loads of dark fruit, sweet tobacco, bark and earth. Chewy, fine tannins. Perhaps the best of the trilogy years. In recent years the proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon in Brane Cantenac has been increasing. In addition, its origin changes. It now comes entirely from terrace IV, which can explain this aromatic dimension. 96/100

Lots of freshness and finesse in this bouquet with pleasant nuances of eucalyptus and mint followed by nuances of cocoa beans. The aging is also apparent, but perfectly integrated, and finally the fruity nuances do not fail to manifest themselves, through notes of black berries. On the palate the wine is dense, delicious and perfectly balanced. It ideally combines freshness and power and does not fall into opulence. A powerful, fresh and persistent wine. 2026-2050. 95-96/100

Violet-edged, lovely vibrant color. A low-yield wine that has kept an impressively fresh core, with expressive fruits and a vibrant grip through the center of the wine. Powerful, tight tannins and the concentration becomes clearer in the glass, a tone of bilberry, sage and rosemary aromatics, with a generous helping of graphite and crushed stone. All of these wines are going to need very careful aging - although the reasonable alcohols should help. 2028-2044. 94/100. Jane Anson.
