94 100DecanterDense and concentrated plum and damson on display. Some austerity right now, as you hope in a young wine. Harvest from September 12 on young vines and more than a week later for the older vines through to October 4. 3.7pH. Tasted again a few weeks later, delicious, same score. Drinking Window 2028 - 2044

93 100Yves BeckPurplish purple. As Beauregard has demonstrated in recent years, under the leadership of Vincent Priou, the balance between maturity, terroir and breeding is perfectly mastered. The wine copes well with its aging in barrels and leaves it to the freshness of the Cabernet Franc to highlight the fruity and, above all, floral notes. On the palate the attack is delicious and even charming. The wine clearly reveals its tannins which are fine and well integrated and which have the necessary response to the crunchy side of the structure. A wine of character which assumes its charm. The fruit “just” needs to take over in the finish… the breeding should take care of that ;-) 2024-2039

91 100Jean-Marc QuarinMy best rating given to this en Primeur vintage. Dark, intense and beautiful color. Intense nose, with ripe and slightly toasted fruitiness. For a long time, this vintage seemed to have forgotten the hedonism it could offer us. Without having the most sculpted body in the appellation, it reconnects with the charm that once made it so desirable. Experience proves that over time, this softness remains an immense advantage. Blend: 70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc. Alcohol content: 14°2 – pH: 3.78 which is a little lower than its average. Yield: 38 hl/ha. Note that out of an area of 17.5 ha, 5 have been reconstituted since 2015, with a density of 9,200 vines, which will undoubtedly bring an additional framework to this wine in the coming years. Beauregard is certified organic.
Gorgeous purple red.
Aromas of small red fruits, menthol notes, ending with a hint of red pepper.
Ample and suave, beautiful round structure, elegant tannins, harmonious fruity finish.
Truffled foie gras, fish cooked in red wine, tagliatelle with mushrooms, truffle omelette, beef fillet, roast capon.
Serving temperature: 16 - 18°C
