Purplish purple. Complex bouquet, of good intensity with notes of licorice and blackberries. I also notice a touch of smoke, a little pepper and vanilla. The appetizer is delicious and slightly creamy. On the palate the wine is balanced, elegant and a little suave. There is fat, compact tannins and a structure which ensures the back. Pleasant freshness and good substance, persistent fruity finish. 2023–2035

Shows some serious length here with berries, chocolate and orange peel. Medium body, firm tannins and a fresh finish. 40% cabernet franc makes this happen. Rest merlot

Dark, intense and beautiful color. Moderately aromatic nose, with fresh and ripe fruitiness, with a touch of plum. Caressing, suave, very fruity on the palate, with taste in the middle and no angle on the finish. Nice construction.

Just next to the buildings of Clos du Clocher, this site has more gravelly soils and more Cabernet Franc planted. There's a vivacity to the wine, and a real sense that this hits the mark, with a touch of spice on the firm but rich palate. There is a touch of rusticity on the finish, and the tannins have not quite smoothed out, but there's still plenty to enjoy. Retasted at the UGC tasting. Drinking Window 2023 - 2035

Château Beauregard

Château Beauregard

The history of Château Beauregard dates back to the 12th century. It was taken over in 2014 by the Moulin and Cathiard families, notably for the charm of its residence. The 17.5 ha wine estate, located on a gravelly plateau, has a unique grape variety for the region of 30% Cabernets.
