Asua Gran Reserva
Red wine | DOCa Rioja Alta
According to Rioja rules, a Gran Reserva red wine must be aged for at least 60 months, partly in oak barrels and partly in bottles, before leaving the cellar. The result is deep, complex wines like this Asúa, with hints of ripe fruit, liquorice, spices, caramel and dried aromatic herbs. The palate is velvety, and a lovely freshness stretches through the finish. A top-class wine

Garnet-red color.
Interesting aromatic complexity with well-blended aromas of ripe fruit, licorice, spices, caramel, roasted coffee as well as some balsamic undertones.
On the palate, the wine has a smooth entry and a mid-palate marked by silky tannins, leading to a slightly acidic finish that gives it freshness and length on the finish.
Serving temperature: 18°C
The soils of Rioja Alta are clayey, limestone and iron, the climate is continental with a marked Atlantic influence.
Manual harvest and fermentation with selected yeasts in concrete vats and small capacity oak vats. We carry out pumping over during fermentation, delestage and punching down until we obtain the desired color, tannins and structure. Malolactic fermentation in concrete tanks, followed by aging in French oak barrels for 24 months. Once bottled, the wine is aged for 36 months.
