Asúa, Blanco Barrel Fermented
White wine | DOCa Rioja Alta
Rioja in white... It's exciting!
Rioja is famous for its reds, but its more confidential whites are well worth a try! This pure Viura (Macabeu) offers hints of apple, banana and pineapple, with an undertone of sweet spices from oak barrel fermentation. Supple, juicy and well-balanced, this white wine has a lovely texture and lingers with a lovely freshness. Serve with tapas, grilled white fish or paella!

Attractive wine with primary aromas of apple, banana, pineapple and those of barrel ageing.
Soft and balanced on the palate. Pleasant tannins but marked with a final acidity that leaves us with a fruity, balsamic taste.
Serving temperature: 8 - 10°C
The soils of the Rioja Alta vineyards are characterized by clay loam and bush-trained vines.
After being harvested by hand, the grapes are kept on their skins for 12 hours to extract all the aromas of the fruit. The free-run juice is used to make this wine, which ferments in oak barrels. Once the alcoholic fermentation is complete, the wine remains in the barrel with its fine lees which are kept in suspension by stirring. The wine is then racked, clarified and filtered before being bottled.
