A beautiful dark ruby red, lively and attractive.
Pure and complex, with generous aromas of blackberries, ripe blackcurrant and wild berries, combined with mineral reminiscences and delicate notes of violet, ink, vanilla and dark chocolate.
Exceptional balance, lively, dense and endowed with a beautiful structure, roundness and spicy notes. Very ripe and well-integrated tannins give the wine a voluptuous texture, perfectly balanced by a pleasant acidity, displaying fullness, length and harmony.
Cold meats, game terrine, pasta, vegetable gratin, asado, Café de Paris steak, venison saddle, goat cheese, dark chocolate.

La Viña Almaviva is located in Puente Alto in the highest part of the Maipo Valley. Its soils, rocky and poor, are made up of silty clay. The subsoil consists of sand, gravel and rock. These alluvial soils allow good drainage and provide beautiful minerality, as well as a low pH level. The result is extraordinary quality, balance and elegance.
Manual harvest in small flat containers, manual sorting, destemming, gentle pressing, transport by gravity in stainless steel vinification vats. Cold maceration to extract color and aromas, alcoholic fermentation and final maceration. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation after transfer into new French oak barrels, followed by aging for 20 months. The skins and seeds are lightly pressed to extract the press wine added to the final blend.
