Château Rauzan-Gassies

It was in the 17th century that the winemaking history of the region began. Thanks to the know-how of its owner, a prestigious vineyard was created: the Domaine de Rauzan. The Domaine de Rauzan was split in two for inheritance reasons in 1763. Seduced by its terroir, Paul Quié, a great wine enthusiast and merchant in Paris, became its owner in 1946. At that time, the estate's teams designed the modern vineyard of today. The selection of grape varieties and the division of plots allow us to carve out the contemporary identity of the great wine. In 2000, his children, Anne-Françoise and Jean-Philippe, decided to join the family properties. For 20 years, they have continued development by perpetuating the fundamental work carried out by previous generations. The Château Rauzan-Gassies vineyard extends over 30 ha in the Margaux appellation and 30 ha in the Haut-Médoc appellation.
