It all began in 1938, in a lively trattoria just outside Parma. Otello Ceci, the grandfather of today’s owners, delighted diners with traditional Parmesan dishes – always accompanied by a joyful, fizzy red wine he crafted himself from the region’s best grapes: Lambrusco. Word spread quickly. This wine charmed, connected, and captivated.
In the 1960s, his sons Bruno and Giovanni realised that this unique wine was destined for more. The trattoria became a winery, and the family’s journey took a new turn.
Today, Otello’s grandchildren – Alessandro, Maria Teresa, Maria Paola, Elisa and Chiara – carry the story forward. True to his spirit, they’ve transformed a local passion into an internationally recognised signature. Still rooted in their land, the Ceci family continues to reinvent Lambrusco with precision, creativity, and a fierce desire to make it shine in a new light.
