Mont d'Or is the oldest wine estate in Valais. It is also known for having introduced Sylvaner to Switzerland, renamed Johannisberg and becoming its preferred grape variety. The terraced vines, certified organic, are located south of the Montorge nature reserve, at the gates of Sion. Since the middle of the 19th century, the estate's wines have often been praised by critics!
