Tenuta San Guido

Tenuta San Guido

The Marchesi Incisa della Rocchetta are among the protagonists of Italian history. Mario Incisa della Rocchetta, founder of Tenuta San Guido, was born in 1889, to a Piedmontese family. He settled in Maremma in the early 1940s. He planted the first Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard in the hills that slope gently from the Castiglioncello fortress to the sea. The massive selection, oriented towards the exclusive use of Cabernet sauvignon, took place more recently, between 1960 and 1968.

Today, the third generation of the family of wine producers is represented by five cousins, whose responsibility is to preserve the culture of the company, exalting and strengthening its values.
