Furvus
Red wine | Vinyes Domènech, Montsant DO
The dark beauty of Montsant
This red wine offers a beautiful complexity of ripe black fruits, blueberries, spices and toasted notes. Warm and creamy, it maintains a lovely freshness thanks to old, certified organic high-altitude vines. The secret of this dark wine ("furvus" in Latin) perhaps also lies in the use of a rare type of local Grenache, combined with a touch of Merlot, for flesh and roundness.

The Montsant appellation, located at the gates of Priorat, is considered to be a growing value. The grape varieties are almost the same as in Priorat, but with a preference for Grenache Noir which flourishes wonderfully in sandy granite or limestone soils.
Slow fermentation at low temperature, traditional vinification then aging for 12 months in French oak barrels.
