Château Petit-Village is an exceptional terroir in the heart of the village of Pomerol. The Grand Vin Château wonderfully expresses the successful alliance between merlot, cabernet franc and cabernet-sauvignon.

94 100Yves BeckPurplish purple. What olfactory finesse with scents of blueberries and blackberries. Pleasant notes of mint, floral touch of violets. Delicious and fruity attack. On the palate, the wine has body, fullness and fruit. Lots of elegance in this wine, with a superb correlation between tannins and acidity. The fruit is delicious, the tannins have a fine grain and the aroma is revealed from start to finish on the palate. A great success in Petit-Village. Well done. 2024–2037

92 100Jean-Marc QuarinMy best rating given to this en primeur vintage. Here is the most beautiful building I know in Petit Village. Its status has been rising little by little since 2015. While certain wines benefit from the higher presence of Cabernet Franc, it is progressing thanks to 100% Merlot! This vintage definitely escapes any generalization. Dark, intense and beautiful color. Moderately aromatic nose, with ripe fruitiness. On the palate it is the juiciest wine I have tasted at Petit Village in a very long time (same note as the 2016). Fleshy, suave, full, it develops tasty with brightness and a perfect tannic coating. It's good !

91 100Robert Parker's Wine AdvocatePetit Village was completely spared from the frosts in 2017. Composed of 71% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 9% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2017 Petit Village is deep garnet-purple in color and is a little reluctant to begin, with slowly emerging notes of warm plums, blackberry pie and baked blueberries plus sparks of kirsch, licorice, camphor and chargrill. The palate is medium to full-bodied with a generous amount of mid-palate flesh and really ripe, plush tannins, finishing with loads of blue, black and red fruit layers.
Dark purple.
Aromas of blackberry and violet, enveloped in fine touches of spices.
Round and powerful, presents a beautiful tannic structure. Long finish which ends with a spicy touch.
Château Petit-Village is located in the heart of Pomerol, on a magnificent clay-gravel plateau. It is a 10.5 hectare vineyard, in one piece, which forms a triangle. Its terroir is made up of deep gravel coated with light, sandy clay on a subsoil of alios called iron grime, characteristic of the great wines of Pomerol.
Vinification for 25 days in thermoregulated vats, malolactic fermentation, aging for approximately 15 months in oak barrels, 70% of which is new wood.
