92 100DecanterA breath of fresh air, whether on its own merits or simply by contrast with two preceding, more unyielding Listracs: this shines brightly. The nose is attractively floral, with plum, blackberry, and cassis evoking ripeness and charm. The palate follows suit with smooth, polished tannins, though they do gather themselves into a slightly steely grip on the finish: not surprising in this vintage. Still, a notably strong showing and one of the most convincing recent performances from Château Chasse-Spleen. A a wine that reminds you why the estate can be so compelling. Panos Kakaviatos. April 2026.

Genussfenster 2030 - 2050. Adrian van Velsen. April 2026.

Dense purple with purplish reflections.
Delicate and fruity bouquet, with aromas of blueberry and spices, followed by notes of black tea.
A medium-bodied wine, with fleshy, well-integrated tannins, delicious, of good density, with a tasty and pleasant finish.
To the south-east of the gravelly ridge of Grand Poujeaux, this terroir benefits from a remarkably drained subsoil and superb exposure to the warm rays of the summer sun. The soil is composed of 80% Garonne gravel and 20% limestone clay.
In thermoregulated stainless steel vats and epoxy-coated cement, maceration for approximately one month, aging for 12 to 14 months in oak barrels, 40% of which is new wood.
