The tension here comes from chalky tannins and lovely tobacco, herbs, cedar and cigar-box character. Currants and blue fruits. It's medium-bodied with lovely fruit and light-citrus bitterness. Firm and intense with an excellent finish. One of the best Duharts I have tasted. Try after 2028. January 2025.

Ample à l'attaque, moelleux en milieu de bouche, parfumé, le vin prend de la puissance dans le dernier tiers du palais, où il s'achève sur un toucher fin, long, gras et très bon. Angenehme reife pflanzliche Nuancen mit Noten von Eukalyptus, Pfefferminze, Tabak und roten Beeren sowie erdigen Ausflüssen, die an Vetiver erinnern. Der Wein ist dicht und linear und fließt reibungslos bis ins Finale. Er ist cremig, elegant und wird von Tanninen unterstützt, deren Kraft bestens kanalisiert ist. Sie offenbaren sich ab der Mitte des Gaumens, sind präzise und äußerst effizient und sorgen für Frische. The 2022 Duhart-Milon is showing beautifully, bursting from the glass with aromas of mulberries, blackcurrants, pencil shavings and rose petal. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and textural, it's sweet and layered, with a gourmand core of fruit underpinned by powdery tannins and lively acids. A decade ago, Duhart could be a somewhat austere wine, but today it's much more integrated and harmonious. The 2022 is a blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon and 22% Merlot. Drinking window: 2027 - 2050.
